How important the quality of surface preparation before TERRAZZO application?
The quality of surface preparation plays the critical role. In case of incomplete contaminants removal, cracks, and uneven surface TERRAZZO is not able to show all its useful qualities, e.g. the surface will be still dusty, white spots can appear on the surface, the surface will not get the necessary strength.

Is it necessary to polish the surface after TERRAZZO application?
No. In any case the surface treated with TERRAZZO will be dust-free, hardened and waterproofed. But in case of polishing the concrete the surface gets the mentioned properties quicker and has nice “velvet” shine.

When useful properties of TERRAZZO can be achieved ?
Hardness and dust-free effect appears in 7 days. Full waterproofing and oil and benzine resistance - in 3-6 months.

When maintainance of dry (old) floor treated with TERRAZZO can be started?
After TERRAZZO application and polishing of the surface the floor can be maintained with the full strength in 1 day. Wet cleaning is possible in 14 days. In case the polishing is not done full strength floor maintainance is possible in 3 days. In any case maintainance is forbidden during the first 24 hours.

When maintainance of new terrazzo floor treated with TERRAZZO can be started?
New polished terrazzo can be maintained in 1 day. Wet cleaning is possible in 14 days.

When maintainance of old terrazzo floor treated with TERRAZZO can be started?
Old polished terrazzo can be maintained in 1 day. Wet cleaning is possible in 14 days.

Can or should TERRAZZO be diluted before application?
No. TERRAZZO is a ready-to-use product. Dilution the product with water or with other liquids is forbidden since it affects the components balance and the product looses its useful characteristics partially or completely.

Are TERRAZZO characteristics preserved after freezing-defreezing?
No. TERRAZZO should be kept out from freezing (storage and application temperature not less than +5°Ñ). In case of freezing the product can drop out with sediment Its useful characteristics are lost.

What to do in case of appearance of white spots on the surface after TERRAZZO application?
Appearance of white spots on the concrete surface can be a result of incomplete product residues removal from the surface, low quality of the concrete and its compounds (generally - cement), not thorough surface preparation before application. White spots can be removed mechanically only by burnishing the surface with the specials pads.

What to do in case the surface treated with TERRAZZO is still dusting?
In case the surface treated with TERRAZZO is still dusting it can mean that the surface was not prepared for application; consumption of the product was less than required; the floor can not be treated with TERRAZZO.

In theses cases it is necessary:

•  to apply the product repeatedly with sufficient consumption;

•  to prepare the surface more thoroughly;

•  in case the concrete floor can not be repaired it should be dismantled, new basement should be prepared, new floor done, and

What to expect in case the consumption of TERRAZZO would be less than required?
In case of consumption decrease for the certain concrete floor, first, the expected results (hardening, dust-freeing, waterproofing, oil-benzine resistance) will be never achieved, second, material damage will be done (the product will be wasted), third, moral and material damage will be done to the property owner (damaged floor, lost money).

Can TERRAZZO be applied to any mark concrete?
Yes. TERRAZZO can be applied even on a very low mark concrete. Keep in mind that the more porous concrete the higher consumption.

Can concrete treated with TERRAZZO be painted later?
Yes. TERRAZZO does not create any film on the surface and chemical adhesion of paint to the concrete does not affected by TERRAZZO application. Keep in mind that in case the surface treated with TERRAZZO is polished mechanical adhesion of paint to the concrete can be reduced. To avoid that it is recommended to make polished surfaces more rough mechanically or chemically before painting. Paints suitable for concrete painting: polyurethane, caoutchouc, epoxy, varnishes.

Under what temperature can TERRAZZO be applied?
TERRAZZO can be applied under the temperature from +5°Ñ to +50°Ñ.
